Have the women with combat jobs in the Rangers and Special Forces actually been fighting along side men?

Just from my experience as an Infantry Co Cdr in Korea and spending some time on the DMZ, I can say I do not think any of my men would have responded well to a female CO. Why? Example, my guys loved to play a pick up game of tackle football and I would participate with these guys and it would get extremely physical! My soldiers respected the fact that I could take as well as dish out and kept myself in top physical form to set as good of an example of physical toughness for the rigors of infantry. Lets face it, combat troops love the warrior ethos and male vs female muscle in some scenarios could be the difference of life or death in combat. Another great example is what you see on many police officer chest cam videos of violent encounters against female police officers. Most of these female police officers are quickly overwhelmed by the superior physical strength of a male suspect and if it was not for their male back ups, they would be in serious trouble! With that being said, I have served with many outstanding female soldiers in non combat capacities and their performance is top notch.

If a women qualified ie passes the training, testing and qualification to be in combat arms and more specialized MOS/Units such as Rangers/Sf yes they fight alongside the men. There is no "for show" except in Washington. The military is not some social test tube. Leave that crap at the door.

Oh……and by the way….comparing anything in the military to pro-sports/athletes doesn’t belong. Over the last 25 years I’ve watched 125 pound “skinny weaklings” (men and women) accomplish and do things that no “pro athlete” would ever be capable of. And they did it while getting paid $30k a year with no tv cameras around. Fuck pro athletes.

I read a lot of the comments and subjective feedback below. I’ve met plenty of men with plenty of tabs/badges and some have been turds and some have been fire. I’ve met plenty of men with no tabs/badges and some have been turds and some have been fire. The truth is that ANY school in the military is but a snapshot of a person for a period of time under limited circumstances and generally serves as a baseline requirement for entry into a job. Does NOT mean a Service Member who is “qualified” for that job is going to be good at it. When a Soldier shows up to a unit after a school their performance from that day forward is what counts. The Teams have a way of sorting out their garbage. The Regiment has a way of sorting out their garbage. High standards in a school tend to sift out most of the trash, but the absolute truth is that no matter how hard you squeeze some shit slips through your fingers. Women have had their place in the military and now have their place in ALL of the military. Especially in today’s and recent COE’s they have accomplished things that were better for them to accomplish than it was for a man to accomplish. There’s always the right rock for the job. Keep your rocks piled high and you’ll have plenty to chose from. You don’t always go to war with the troops you “want”, but you will ALWAYS go to war with the troops you have. Shape your men and women; develop their strengths AND their weaknesses. I’m way more concerned about me failing my men and women than I am a single one of them failing me.

I believe our Mother's & Sister's throughout the realm --- would do anything, anytime, anywhere to protect the ones they love most... This is innate. This lifetime and many previous lifetimes... And today - many civilian's are more outspoken on relevant matter's within the same vein... I see it at my son's elementary school and at the parks during sporting events. In many cases, they're solo... In my opinion - there's no responsibility more important than the conscious parenting of the next generation. You opened a huge shitstorm that totally changed your question from one about Ranger and Special Forces qualified women fighting alongside men to one of transgenders, the Histories by Herodotus, the Revolutionary War ,and even to Custer's defeat at Little Big Horn. Along with that it even brought up the old BS about did they even receive the same training as their male counterparts! Why can't people answer a simple question without trying to stir up the pot? My answer: I never served in combat with women SF... In my era there were no SF qualified women. Had there been, I would have had zero problem fighting along side them and expected them to act and react as all the rest of the team! By the way, this is the first post I have seen that had "Thumbs Down" indicators!

there are women though out world history that have fought well beside men & there husbands,
for example during the old west, wives would fight side by side with there husbands to defend there homes & Families.
as stated by others during the during the American Revolution, and civil war , women have step up to fight, yet these women are the few exemption , not the normal role that women want or seek out to fill.

I have no problem With Women who want to fill a combat roles, as long as they are Physical able ,
my problem is with the Congress & Gov faceless Bureaucrats, forcing the Military to lower the military Physical Requirements, in order to make the woke crowd happy .

this same group of Gov Officials, Faceless Bureaucrats, & women groups, who are demanding more females' in a combat role , yet they will not Volunteer themselves or there daughters. have you notice this ?

I have been saying this for decades, I have no problem allowing women in combat roles, just stop lowering the Physical requirements .
let men & Women compete for the position, may the best man or women win.
