When my father, retired military, passed away in 2002 the VA determined that his death was service connected and my mother began receiving benefits. My mother, now 95, lives with us (my husband and I are both veterans) and we are her sole caretakers. Are there any VA benefits that my mother would be eligible for i.e. someone to help me provide care?

Call this number ( [login to see] ) to reach the VA Benefits and submit your RFI there. They will be the only ones to properly answer this question

I have some feedback, helpful comments led me to the VA who advised me that Mother is eligible to apply for Aid and Attendance which if approved, would result in additional compensation to hire outside help. So, our doctor has completed the medical portion of the application and it’s going in the mail today. Hoping for approval in the coming months. Thank you all for your support.
