India claims that it only targeted terror training sites in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and in northern Pakistan, as well as nine air bases and AD, but no strategic nuclear sites.

Pakistan, on the other hand, claims that India targeted Kirana Hills in Pakistan, which is supposedly a nuclear underground storage facility.

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana Are are asking folks to agree there is actually a declared war going on between India and Pakistan; also to take a side with either India or Pakistan which requires assuming one (or both) nations are lying?

Good question SGT Mary G.. No, I am not asking anyone to take sides in this fourth battle between two nuclear powers in the Asian subcontinent. I am asking for assumptions either. Rather, what I am asking is whether we are aware that Pakistan signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Agreement and, like North Korea and Iran, Pakistan has a stockpile of nuclear weapons which are stored at two sites within Pakistan of which Kirana Hills is one of those two nuclear storage facilities. Do we know the facts about Pakistan's nuclear program? Since Pakistan has a strategy of using terrorism as it's first line of defense and offense and that Pakistan is actually run by the Army, such nuclear weapons can fall into the hands of terrorists. Are we aware of these facts about Pakistan? My other question is that since Pakistan is a nation from whose soil global terror is being spread and the U.S. with allies began the global war on terror then, why did or does the U.S. support, financially and militarily, this terror state called Pakistan? Isolating Pakistan will force it to dump terrorism from it's soil and the subcontinent will be a much better place.

This is all SGT Mary G..

Thank you, for your response. CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - Good questions. And your comment added a lot of clarity and direction to the discussion. I don't know much about this. However, I have had the same question about U.S. being an ally with Pakistan - as if we didn't know Al-Qaida was hiding out in Pakistan , too. Perhaps it was a make-nice effort to keep diplomatic connections and have entry into Pakistan for our military? An opportunity to convince Pakistan, over time, to cooperate with at least some of what our stated intention was in the area?
What considering this did bring to my mind was Britain's bad habit of partitioning nations and displacing people from their homes: India/Pakistan, Israel/Palestine. It has created more problems through time, be it originally and still because of ongoing ideological political difference and religious persecution.
The partitioning did not stop there - though not totally Britian's idea - Korea is still "occupied" and an uneasy situation. Viet-Nam - an armed combat hot war proxy for the ideological Cold War, is now back to one nation. And the limited success in this century also, with partitioning and displacing people in Sudan.
The Fatwa for Pakistan, recently, and all the accompanying theater in Pakistan about Islam being under attack worldwide associated with it, is understandable given long-term circumstances. If Pakistan was not a nuclear power (we have France to thank for that "gift"), it would be a blip in the radar (as it is, hot air for sure, imho). That has fortunately not been in the news much and used to alarm people. (There is already more than enough to alarm people that saturates the news day and night from the Oval Office and Co.)
Given active threats having been leveled at Iran - still and again - perhaps it would be wise to consider the relationship between Iran and Pakistan? Are we sure Iran is actually nuclear capable? Would Pakistan have shared some of its stockpile, perhaps?

Back in the 1970s, I participated in a month long Special Operations mission in Pakistan. We were imbeded with Pakistan military and conducted missions from Lahore in the north to Karachi in the south. While working on a daily basis with Pakistan Army personnel, it quickly became evident that India and Pakistan have a complex and largely hostile relationship. Based on my short term observation, I would not trust either country in their claim on the activity...

Every military strategy in Pakistan uses India as it's enemy and most of Pakistan's military is stationed along the eastern border with India. Even the terrorists use launch pads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) to attack into Kashmir, Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan and the National Capital Region (NCR). Recently, Gujrat has also witnessed terror attacks from Pakistan, 1SG(P) Dean Mcbride (MPER) (SPHR). From Skurdu, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad, Sargodha, Jacobabad, Chaklala, Murid, Miranwali, Chander, Vihari, and Mirpur Khas, most Pakistan's military facilities face India.
